SuperFerry plies back to Palawan, offers P588 sale on tickets

STARTING ITS service to Puerto Princesa on March 27, SuperFerry is reconnecting with their regular travelers to and from Palawan while making Puerto Princesa tourist destinations more accessible to more people.Offering promotional ticket sale for as low as P588, SF fares continue to be much cheaper than most transport alternatives. According to Arlette Capistrano, SuperFerry’s PR and Marketing Communications Manager, the resuming of SuperFerry voyages to Palawan is the answer of the company to the strong public clamor after 14 months of  hiatus from the Palawan route.“We didn’t really stop operation, there are other routes that SuperFerry continued to ply. It was just that we considered the fact that during the time it was not viable to operate,” Capistrano said.With air transport currently serving 11 flights daily and four airlines to choose from, SuperFerry will face tough competition for travelers. But Capistrano said that SF is not up for competing with air companies.“We have a different service offering. Of course, with a 27-hour one-way travel time, SuperFerry 2 offers relaxation, and for the traveler to really have time to enjoy sea view. What we really are focusing on is to serve the residents’ needs,” Capistrano said.She added that since SuperFerry 2 has a weekly voyage schedule, it’s an additional option for travelers. SuperFerry restored its service to Puerto Princesa City as part of the expansion of its route network following the acquisition of the company by Negros Navigation Co. Inc. With the inclusion of the Puerto Princesa destination, SuperFerry will ahve 15 ports of call all over the Philippines, including Manila, Bacolod, Iloilo, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Cotabato, Davao, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iligan, Ozamis, Surigao, and Zamboanga.
